A circle of dark blue enamel bearing the wording Merseyside County Council Tunnels in gilt relief with a shield bearing the Merseyside county council logo central. The whole surmounted on an eight pointed star.

This badge was intended for use by all uniformed Mersey tunnels staff including the Police. The Mersey Tunnels Police refused to use it as a result it was never issued.
