River Tyne Police Officers Cap Badge QC Chrome & Enamel
Worn from 1959 onwards until the River Tyne Police amalgamated with South Shields Police on 1st August 1968. 

South Shields Borough Police amalgamated with Durham Constabulary on 1st October 1968. 

There was no immediate change after the death of the King and the KC versions were worn right through to 1959. This was a common occurrence with many forces whilst new dies were ordered, the new badges made and issued.
