Iain Macleod Deputy Chief Constable Central Scotland Police

Iain MacLeod (51) joined Central Scotland Police in March 2008 after 32 years' service with Tayside Police.
During his time with Tayside, Mr MacLeod served in a number of operational and specialist roles throughout the force, including CID, Drugs Branch, Special Branch and the Professional Standards Department.
He rose to the rank of Assistant Chief Constable with the Dundee-based force where he was the head of the force's Crime Management Department for four years.
In 2005, Mr MacLeod was Tayside Police's media spokesman during the G8 World Leaders Summit at Gleneagles.
Mr MacLeod successfully completed the Strategic Command Course in 2003, during which time he also completed a Diploma in Applied Criminology and Police Management at the University of Cambridge. In 2005 he attended the International Leadership in Counter-terrorism Course, working with colleagues from throughout the United Kingdom and North America. He also holds a Higher National Certificate in Police Studies.
Mr MacLeod, who is married with two children and lives in Perthshire
