Chris Eyre Temporary Chief Constable Leicestershire Constabulary
Chris Eyre was appointed Temporary Chief Constable on September 21 2009.

Prior to that Chris had been the Deputy Chief Constable, a role he had held since January 2009, and the Assistant Chief Constable (Crime) for Leicestershire Constabulary, since March 2005.

He is the Chair of the Leicestershire and Rutland Local Criminal Justice Board.  

He represented the East Midlands on the ACPO asylum, immigration working group and co-ordinated regional forensic collaboration. He also line managed the East Midlands regional crime units.

Nationally he chaired the oversight board of the UK Human Trafficking Centre; is the national lead for the National Forensic Framework Procurement and sits on the ACPO forensic Science Committee.
