Clive Wolfendale Deputy Chief constable North Wales Police

Clive Wolfendale joined North Wales Police in 2001, following 25 years service with the Greater Manchester Force. He was educated at Manchester Grammar School and the University of Manchester. He holds a Diploma in Applied Criminology from Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Manchester Business School.
He has enjoyed a wide-ranging police career and has retained a particular interest in IT and forensic sciences.
Formerly head of the Scenes of Crime Department in Greater Manchester, Mr Wolfendale now chairs the Forensic Science Training Strategy Group for ACPO. He also chairs the National Footwear Board and the Forensic Science Sector Skills Council.
He has recently been appointed the ACPO Lead for the Schengen European Criminal Information System.
