Chief Constable Adrian Lee
Adrian Lee has been appointed today as the new Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police. Mr Lee's appointment followed a national recruitment campaign and a rigorous and demanding process, including a workshop with community representatives.

Mr Lee joins Northamptonshire Police from Staffordshire Police where he is currently Temporary Chief Constable.

Deirdre Newham, Chair of Northamptonshire Police Authority - the body responsible for the appointment of Chief Police officers for the county - praised Mr Lee as an officer of extremely high calibre who demonstrated a considerable knowledge and experience of policing.

"The Police Authority's Appointments Panel was fortunate to have three such strong candidates from which to select, making the decision difficult. However the panel were particularly impressed with Mr Lee's commitment to delivering the best possible policing service to the communities in Northamptonshire and his passion for policing. On behalf of the Authority, I look forward to working with Mr Lee in taking the performance of our force to the next level."

Mr Lee has told the Authority that he will be moving to Northamptonshire.

Mr Lee said, "It is a privilege to be appointed as Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police. I look forward to taking the Force on the next stage of its journey to provide the very best policing services and building trust and confidence in the police amongst the communities of the county."

Mrs Newham said "Davina Logan will continue as Temporary Chief Constable until Mr Lee joins the Force and the Police Authority is grateful to her for providing this ongoing stability. Mrs Logan has demonstrated tremendous commitment to policing in Northamptonshire for the last four years. We are pleased she will be remaining to support the new Chief Constable."
