Constable 192 Frederick (Freddy) Moon, born in 1904 at Swadlincote, Derbyshire, occupation miner. Appointed to the Derbyshire Constabulary on 31st July 1925. On 1st April 1938 he was promoted Sergeant 88 and served for a number of years at Ilkeston, where he became a well known character. He retired from the force on 22nd October 1954.
