DCC William Harrison of Gloucestershire
Borned 1844 in Sapperton, Gloucestershire, and worked initially as a labourer. Joined the Force on 15/9/1865, warrant number 2013. Worked through the ranks, and made acting Chief Constable during WWI. In 1918 received a special commendation from the home office for work with aliens and suspected persons. Also recipient of the 1911 Coronation medal, and the Kings Police Medal. He was pensioned in 1919 following 53 years service in Gloucestershire.
