Ms Jackie Roberts as their new Deputy Chief Constable
Ms Roberts will replace Mr Andy Edwards, who has been appointed as the first Deputy Chief Constable for the all Wales collaboration programme. Ms Roberts will make history for the Force when she joins in the coming months as the first female Chief Officer.

Ms Roberts began her career in South Wales Police before moving to Avon and Somerset Constabulary, where she is an Assistant Chief Constable. Mrs Delyth Humfryes, Chair of the Police Authority said, “I am thrilled that Ms Roberts will shortly by joining us. She has a wealth of experience and will be an asset to the Chief Officer team.” 

Ms Roberts went on to say, "I am absolutely delighted with my appointment and am very pleased to be coming back to Wales. Dyfed-Powys Police is a first class, progressive organisation which has its communities at the heart of policing and I very much welcome the opportunity of being part of its future. I look forward to working with the Police Authority in ensuring that the people in Dyfed-Powys continue to enjoy an excellent policing service."
