Deputy Chief Constable Chris Weigh
Lancashire Police Authority has announced, after a robust two day interview process, the appointment of Chris Weigh as the next Deputy Chief Constable of Lancashire Constabulary.

Previously Lancashire Constabulary's Assistant Chief Constable, a position he took up in April 2008, he has taken the lead on policing across all of the county's divisions and coordinating the work of the criminal justice department.

Chair of the Police Authority, Cllr Malcolm Doherty, said the Authority was delighted with the appointment and added: "Chris brings a wealth of experience to the role which will be invaluable in the challenging times ahead. We will all need to work together to maintain the Constabulary's position as a top performing police force in the difficult financial climate that is facing all police forces.
