New Uniform August 2007

From 20 August 2007 the traditional white shirts and black clip-on ties are replaced with black shirts for officers and blue shirts for PCSOs.

The short sleeved zip up shirts are made in lightweight breathable material, which is easy to launder and needs no ironing.

The shirts will only be worn under body armour by officers and police staff when they are on front line operational duties. At other times they will continue to wear the classic white shirt and black tie.
