Salford City Mutual Aid Helmet, 1952

Salford City Mutual Aid Helmet, 1952, worn at the Queen's Coronation, one piece fibre construction made by Christies (very flimsy and distorts easily), black rosetop, thin metal centre band and small Salford City helmet plate worn quite high on the helmet. The black leather chin strap is made very short and even at the fullest adjustment barely gets below the wearers bottom lip.
