Grimsby Borough Helmet, circa 1940's, unusual five panel design (i.e. no front seam), black leather centre band, white metal ball with chrome base and chrome KC helmet plate, evidence of cross base having been fitted to the helmet previously, but not for long (holes in helmet but no indents in the cloth). Paper label inside reading 'Christies, London. Woods Brothers, 31 / 32 Whitefriargate, Hull. Established over a century'
