David McCall
Assistant Chief Constable (Scotland) from March 2004, David joined BTP from the Scottish Drug Enforcement Agency where he was Detective Chief Superintendent and Deputy Director.

 

David joined Strathclyde Police in 1978 and later completed a full-time sponsored MA in Computing Science and Management at the University of Glasgow. He has a wide range of experience gained from roles in mainly operational, uniform roles, as well as short periods as Staff Officer to the Chief Constable and to Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary for Scotland. David has also been a licensed hostage negotiator, sub-divisional officer in Inverclyde and Deputy Commander in Glasgow City Centre.
