Howard Roberts Deputy Chief Constable Nottinghamshire Police

Mr Roberts has been Deputy Chief Constable since June 2003 when he was promoted from his post of Assistant Chief Constable with the force.

Before joining Nottinghamshire Police, he worked for Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary in London.
Mr Roberts began his policing career with North Wales Police in 1982.

A graduate of the University of Wales in Aberystwyth, he has a degree in Law, a Master of Arts in Police Management and a Diploma in Criminology.

As Deputy Chief Constable, Mr Roberts’s responsibilities include force performance and development, legal services and the Professional Standards Unit.
