PC's Jacobson & Jacobson Newcastle City Police Two brothers who joined the Newcastle City Police, standing on the left is PC 20 Wheatley Forster Jacobson & sitting PC 21 William John Jacobson. Wheatley was born 31.8.1873 and joined Newcastle in April 1900 but only served for 18 months, returning to the coal mines. William born 25.9.1875 and served with the Met Police for 8 months before he joined Newcastle on 9.4.1900, he retired 9.4.1925
