PC222B Ernest Schofield Manchester City Police Ernest Schofield was born in Burnley and was an engine cleaner before joining Manchester City Police on 27.3.1911. He had previous service (4 years) with the 4th Battalion Bedfordshire Territorials. Resigned 12.2.1915 to join HMF, he was a corporal with the Military Mounted Police.
